AdBlue price hike of 3 cents

Rising urea costs cause 3 cent price hike in AdBlue

Pressure from urea costs has resulted in price increases by AdBlue suppliers throughout Europe.

Dublin, January 4th 2011 European suppliers of AdBlue have been forced to raise AdBlue prices as urea has continued to escalate in price from mid 2010. The Brockley Group had resisted raising the price of BlueCat AdBlue but can no longer absorb the increased cost of raw material and has announced a 3 cent per litre increase.

Urea the active ingredient in AdBlue uses gas as its feedstock. Gas as an energy source is follows the price trend of oil which in turn has reached a two year high. A secondary factor has been a tightening in urea supplies as plant outages in Europe are compounded by more expensive imports as seasonal bad weather effects shipping costs.

Brockley Group has continued to invest in its plant to achieve manufacturing cost reductions and to increase capacity at its production facility for its high quality AdBlue brand BlueCat.
