BlueCat price increase

BlueCat announce price increase for AdBlue

Dublin, October 10th 2011 BlueCat have been forced to announce a 3 cent per litre increase in AdBlue from 1st November for the Irish market. This follows on from a similar increase announced for the UK market.

Urea the active ingredient in AdBlue has been rising in price for several months. Demand for urea has been high in the agricultural sector as farmers try to maximize yields to take advantage of high food prices. This increased usage throughout the year has led to a continued rise in the urea price.

Secondary factors affecting the price of urea are:

Higher gas prices

Limited export of urea from China as their government increases export taxes to maintain supplies within the country to satisfy internal demand.

Brockley Group who owns the BlueCat brand continues to look at ways to reduce the impact on customers. Recently they have launched a web based telemetric system to improve logistical supply. The system was developed in house and is available to the market.
