Have all manufacturers chosen the same technology
Euro 4 fulfillment: Manufacturers including Mercedes, Iveco, Volvo, Renault and DAF have chosen SCR Technology. MAN and SCANIA have chosen EGR Technology.
Euro 5 fulfillment: All manufacturers bar MAN have chosen to implenment SCR Technology. Scania offer both SCR and EGR
Euro 6 fufillment: All manufacturers, including MAN, have chosen to implement SCR Technology. Man announced that they would be no further investment in the EGR technology, this was anticipated as the cooling requirements of EGR as the sole NOx reducer are impractible.
